Dawson Brunswick is your 2018 – 2019 Phi Beta Lambda Nebraska State President. Dawson is a junior at Chadron State College, majoring in business, marketing, and information technology education. Dawson hopes to teach business at the high school level after he graduates. He looks forward to helping the entire state officer team work towards and accomplish their goals this year. Personally, Dawson would like to focus on increasing and enhancing business partnerships and professional division members. Dawson has been an active member of PBL being one of two members of the Chadron State Network Design team that took first place at the 2017 NLC in Anaheim and has competed in various state events. Dawson is also very active on the Chadron State campus being the President of the local PBL chapter, as well as being a member of various campus committees and the student trustee for 2018 – 2019. Vice President of Membership
Cody Cooper is a graduate student at Chadron State College where he is working towards a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Cody graduated in December of 2017 with his Bachelor’s degree in General Business with a Human Biology minor. After graduating, Cody immediately enrolled in the MBA program at Chadron State to further his business knowledge. Throughout his undergraduate career, Cody pursued leadership roles on campus by serving on executive boards, committees, and student government while working as a resident advisor in the residence halls at Chadron State. As the 2018-2019 Nebraska PBL Vice President of Membership, Cody hopes to create opportunities for chapters to improve their membership recruitment drives and collaborate with members of other chapters statewide in a positive networking environment.
Vice President of Communications
Abi Sheen is a senior at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is studying Business, Marketing, and Information Technology Education and is planning on eventually getting a Masters in high school administration. This is her 7th year in the FBLA-PBL organization and has now held 3 state officer positions and 6 local officer positions within the organizations. At Nationals, she has placed 1st in Parliamentary Procedure 2 times, placed 4th in Parliamentary Procedure, and placed 3rd in Retail Management as well as several state awards. She is excited to create memories, lead Nebraska PBL into a successful year, and inspire members to reach their full potential.
Vice President of Technology
Hunter Bergman is a sophomore at Northeast Community College. He is studying Business, Marketing, and is planning on transferring to a four-year university to obtain a Bachelor degree with a major in Marketing and a double minor in Entrepreneurship and Computer Science. This is his 5th year with the FBLA-PBL organization and was a former local chapter president. A visionary to say the least, he wants to revolutionize the way local chapters connect with one another on a state level.
Vice President of Public Relations
Joel Beckwith is your 2018-2019 Vice President of Public Relations! A four-year DECA and FBLA member from California and a high school state officer, Joel is excited to continue his leadership with Nebraska PBL! Joel is a current sophomore at UNL majoring in Marketing and Finance with minors in Computer Science and Asian Studies. He is actively involved on campus, being a part of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, dormitory council, and Nebraska Business Honors Academy.
Outside of PBL, Joel has run two marathons and has worked in the government of Nebraska. Joel looks forward to running social media this year and working with news media organizations to spread the word about Nebraska PBL!
Assistant Vice President
Preston Parry is a Sophomore at McCook Community serving as your State Assistant Vice President. He is currently focusing on Graphic Design. Preston plans to return to MCC for a second year to finish his Associates of Arts degree. After MCC, he plans to transfer to a four-year university to obtain a bachelors degree. Preston plans to use his skills in Graphic Design to help PBL grow and connect with others.
